Cant make outbound calls on zoiper

hi all,

if i call my voipfone number on my house landline (inbound) to my softphone, i can hear the person and talk to the person on the other end

but i cant make outbound calls, i find this wierd as it works the other way round fine, all i get is “your call cant be connected” “busy here”

i have followed this guide

thanks,
rob

Do you have an outbound route attached?
https://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FPG/Outbound+Routes+Module

If you do, then provide a log.
https://wiki.freepbx.org/display/SUP/Providing+Great+Debug

ok ive looked at the logs and thing i know why it isnt doing it

chan_sip.c: Call from ‘201’ (x.x.x.x:43823) to extension ‘+44xxxxxx’ rejected because extension not found in context ‘from-internal’.

i need it so it can make any outbound calls, is this possible

this is me trying to call 152, a test to see if voipfone is set up correctly and atm it doesnt work

Lets deconstruct your extension “+44xxxxxx”

  • is the meta-character used to access international dialing from your ‘locale’, presuming you are in the UK then that would be ‘00’ , ‘44’ would then be the e164 ‘country code’ for the UK, then xxxxxx means a set of exactly 6 numbers between 000000 and 999999.

Trouble is there is nothing that will match that all but 42 somewhere in the far NW have a number that matches +144ZXXXXXXXXXX, or without the e164 bit 0zxxxxxxxxx , that sounds complicated, but my quess is you have already over-complicated things.

May I ask you what you expect your users to dial and how you have handled such dial patterns in your outbound routes ?

this is my outbound dial pattern and it works as i can dial 07 or 155 out but not +44

ok this is a better log, trying to connect to 155

You don’t have a matching dial pattern for numbers that start with +. X is a 0-9 integer so you can only dial phone numbers that start with that.

thanks @adell4444 i know about i cant dial out if its a +44 but surely it should work when i dial out 155 but it is not

also i have installed zoiper on my home pc, to test as this pc is on the LAN and not WAN and i still cant call 155, i get “sorry your call cant be connecetd”

this is the new log

What are you expecting to happen when you dial 155? Default system behavior is to treat that as an extension number, but it appears to be attempting to go out your voipfone route.

@adell4444 its the voipfone test as says here

Test Numbers

155 - Confirms that your phone is connecting to our service and registering correctly.

152 - Echo test; shows how good your connection to Voipfone is.

im trying to call my mobile number on my home pc via zoiper which is a 07 and thats not working at all

do you think it could be an audio codec issue or a trunk issue?

grepping 0000014b would be far more informative, "cut and paste " or “pipe” through https://pastebin.freepbx.org/ and post the link so your logs are easier read.

Agreed.

grep 0000014b /var/log/asterisk/full | pastebin

ok im going in the right direction, i messed about with the trunk settings

all i changed was alaw to ulaw

now i get audio but it says

all circuits are busy now please try your call again later

heres the log that you guys said @adell4444 @dicko
