What login(s) does MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) protect?

Hi all,

I understand what MFA is, but I don’t understand what logins that FPBX MFA is suppose to protect. There is the Admin console webpage. UCP login. I have no users that use UCP. It would make sense for the Admin console and UCP login(s) to have MFA.

Here is my confusion. There are other logins. The desk phone(s) login to their extensions. SangomaConnect and Sangoma softphones which ‘login’. FXA gateways login as trunks.

When I enable MFA, is the Admin console and UCP login(s) the only logins affected by MFA?

Thank you,

You got it, it’s for the ACP and UCP.

Would be nice to have it on Sangoma Connect

I understand better now.

Thank you,

Hi @jakthree As a heads up, if you are looking for SSO (MS/Azure/Entra and Okta), we also offer our SAML module. This covers ACP, UCP, and also our softphone clients.

Sangoma Desktop phone does support MFA a,so

I wish there was a much smaller option than 20, maybe 5 users, I have a system with only 2 admins so paying for 20 is $$$
