Voicemail *97 issues

hi everyone

i am having issues *97 normally when u dial from ur own phone ext itr doesnt ask ext number or phone ext password like *98 does, not what i did to changes on *97 now it asking ext and password from same phone. while i have soft phone when i dial *97 it go vm option

Look under Applications >> Extensions >> Voicemail tab : Require From Same Extension

Yes, but the OP noted that *97 asks for the extension number (as well as the password), so this is a different problem from the “Require From Same Extension” setting.

The Asterisk log for a *97 call including pjsip logger would be useful to diagnose.

If he is asked for his extension number, I would suggest that the call was NOT actually dialled from the relevant extension. (after a quick look at the code ;-), a full log would confirm )

and was using right phone that have my ext, therefore shouldn’t be asking my ext on *97
*98 is the one for asking for ext to connect other vm

What does calling *65 report? What does the Extensions page show for the extension number?

You left out the important part – do the digits spoken exactly match what is shown at Applications → Extensions?

I have no idea what you are saying.

Changing something in the phone GUI? Its config file? With EPM?
Changing the extension settings in the Freepbx GUI? Or some other way?
What ‘blinks out’? What gets it working again?

when i edit my 0210 in ext manager it unlink my phone in sccp phone some odd reason
