Unable to transfer VM (hangup) after Upgrade & copying user greetings (SOLVED)

I manually transferred all the WAV files for user greetings from a FreePBX 13 to 15 after doing a bulk import of extensions. See this thread:

I am manually upgrading from FreePBX v13 to v15. Recreating the entire configuration by hand. Painful, but then I’ve got nothing better to do (sad, yes). I copied the 3 .WAV files (busy, greet, unavail) from /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/101 on the old box to the same folder on the new box. did fwconsole chown to set permissions Doesn’t work, I still get the default unavailable message I renamed unavail.wav and recorded a new unavailable message on the new machine. it appeared, name…

After doing this, several people said that they could not transfer voicemails to certain extensions. They would hit transfer and it would immediately hang up. As seen in another thread I solved this for one extension by deleting and recreating the extension – but I didn’t want to manually re-create all extensions.
This appears to have been solved by re-recording their name (#3) .
So far, it appears to be just the name is needed.
