Hello there ! It’s been a few months i am using FreePBX in its Self-hosted version. I don’t know, but for some reasons, i am no longer able to login to the admin Web interface. I’ve tried some alternatives like “fwconsole unlock ” from the CLI and i’ve also tried to update directly the “ampusers” table in the Database. Unfortunately, none of them was successfull.
Please, can someone help me ?

Hello, thank you for your reply. To respond to your question, no i didn’t. I don’t know but my credentials were the right ones.
what version are you running 16 or 17 ?
17 no longer has a root account and instead has a sangoma account as root and you have to use sudo for some commands
when you say you are unable to login to the web ui, is it giving you a password error or some other type of issue ? Assuming you have restarted the physical machine ?
This is news to me. Can we not make misleading statements that will confuse someone reading the forum, please?
Irrelevant and wrong. Disabling root login by default is not the same as no longer has a root account.
I am using the version 17 of FreePBX. When i tried to login, i was facing the following error : “Invalid Credentials”. But you know what, no longer mind because, i found that the server running FreePBX was compromised. I’ve reinstalled the OS and restarted the configuration from scratch on my VPS and all is working fine now. Thank you for your help !

but, anyone installing 17 for the first time and tries using “root” to log in, will they be successful ? they will have to go hunt down why what worked in the past is now not working, yes ? So I would not say “irrelevant”
The OP did not complain about a lack of CLI or root access. So yes, I consider the statement you made to be irrelevant.
Still does not equate to “FreePBX 17 no longer has a root account”. AFAIK, that’s not quite correct.
This may be a different issue, but I just lost access to the Admin GUI login page this past evening. All I get, when you go to the root of the pbx or to the admin page is the following:
I tried typing the usual login that I use for the Admin console, and it doesn’t do anything. It is like something broke with the admin portion. I can go directly to the UCP link and that works. It is like the admin side is the only that is not working.
I’m running v17 and just updated the modules this past evening.

have you rebooted the system ?
I did, but that didn’t make a difference. The resolution for me was to downgrade the sysadmin module to 17.0.3.
fwconsole ma downloadinstall sysadmin --tag=17.0.3
Once I did the fwconsole reload, it came back up!
I also found that the core and/or framework modules also breaks Parking. I had to downgrade those as well to get parking to work correctly.
