Trouble Connecting Extension to Linphone (SoftPhone)

So I have been trying to get this to work for a week before deciding to post something on the forums.

I have flowroute as my provider. I was able to connect my softphone using their domain and credentials that they generate on their platform. But what I want to do is register the extension I created in my freePBX. So instead of entering Flowroute’s domain and credentials on Linphone (softpone), I enter my freePBX servers domain,user(ext. 233) and secret. The problem is that it does not register.

NOTES: I do not have the firewall turned on my freePBX.

Please any ideas on why I cannot register with my extension? Also I am using AWS to host my freePBX.

FreePBX is a B22BUA, you create a trunk to Flowroute (rules on their site and in the wiki) and register your extensions to freepbx (rules in the linked wiki at the top of this pagea) both trunk and extension should be chan_phsip if you are using udp/5060 if anything dosn’t work , ‘it does not register’ is not helpful, provide what doesn’t work backed up by logs

By not registering I mean when I try to connect the softphone using the extension credentials instead of Flowroute’s credentials on their site it just times out.

Start with sngrep to see if anything is getting to FreePBX, if it is , then the FreePBX logs (oresumably at 54.173.29.112)

I included an image that shows the output of sngrep. I see flowroute’s IP in there so I guess it’s connecting. But I don’t know enough to make that conclusion.

Also I noticed something about one of my other trunks I have connected to Questblue Provider. When I call the DID connected to that account from my cellphone there seems to be activity (Full of errors) on the freePBX logs. Which is fine because I am not using it, but what I find weird is that when I call the DID connected to Flowroute I dont see any activity on the log.

You should read the manual for sngrep,(?) it;s a drill down tool, drill down on a register . . .

The source shows using port 5160 and destination 5060. Is that right? I am using pjsip.

Pj_sip by default uses udp/5060 chan_sip uses udp/5160 they can’t converse with each other, asterisk would bridge them if needed, but check ports and make sure the technology matches, successful registration will be obvious as will failures, if there is a two way session started, goto to FBX for details

linphone has an ICE option under sip account, make sure you turn it off so its not routed to some server
