SNG7-PBX-64bit-2002S.iso

I have a small “fleet” of Lenovo Q180 Ideacenter media centers running FreePBX v13 Asterisk v11. Atom D2700 2.13, 2GB RAM, 1TB hard drive. My plan was to upgrade all to FreePBXv15 Asterisk v16 on CentOS7 by “rolling” in new servers one by one. I went to install SNG7-PBX-64bit-2002S.iso on the first server. Performed a full graphical install per these instructions:

https://wiki.freepbx.org/display/PPS/Installing+SNG7+Official+Distro

All appeared to go according to plan until the re-boot. The computer won’t boot giving the message “Reboot and select proper boot device”. I have researched and it appears the installer may have written the boot partition to the wrong place . . . . ?

Here how the partitions look following the installation in GPARTED:

/dev/sda1 EFI System Partition fat16 200MiB 11.30MiB boot, esp
/dev/sda2 fxs 1.00 GiB 43.3MiB msftdata
/dev/sda3 lvm2 pv s7_freepbx 930.32GiB 930.31GiB lvm

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Chris

Are those machines UEFI enabled?

I don’t believe so. BIOS date is 11/17/2011.

FreePBX 15 ISO is compatible with both UEFI and legacy BIOS. Make sure that the BIOS is correctly configured to boot from the hard drive once you finished the installation.

Yes the BIOS is configured correctly.
