Route call from extension to inbound DID locally

Hi everyone!

I have set up extensions with an inbound DID, lets say extension 6101 which has an inbound DID 55556101 and extension 6102 which has an inbound DID 55556102. I’m trying to setup some kind of modification of the dialed numbers so that when extension 6101 dials the number 55556102 it doesn’t go through the trunk specified in the outbound route but it gets mangled to 6102 and the call is routed internally. I tried setting up an outbound route without a trunk that would remove the prefix 555561 and append 61 but it didn’t work.

Is there a way that I could achieve this?

I found a solution. I added a custom trunk with a “Dial number manipulation rule” and the custom rule is “Local/$OUTNUM$@from-internal”. I then added an outbound rule that matches the external DID. Works like a charm.
