I’m currently migrating data from an old FreePBX 13 to a new FreePBX 17 using the built-in Backup & Restore tool. When I click Apply Config and monitor the Asterisk CLI via asterisk -rvvv, I see the following errors (attached in the screenshot).
Could you please advise:
When posting logs, it is advisable to scrub then put them into our pastebin.freepbx.org as it makes it easier for many more users to parse out and help you with the issue.
Anyhow…
Those look like small “e” errors and not big “E” ERRORS – so that’s a good thing!
However, they are all WARNINGs, which is slightly better, depending on how you look at it.
The WARNINGs from parsing of FreePBX generated dialplan in extensions_additional.conf are probably only something you can fix if you take a look into the PHP module that is generating the lines e.g. inspecting the corners of /var/www/html/ or FreePBX · GitHub and the like…
But, seeing as you have a lot (potentially) going on in extensions_custom.conf, the WARNINGs being emitted as a result of Asterisk reading that dialplan might be of more concern to you. In that case, the Asterisk Community Forums are a good place to look for help on Asterisk-specific issues!
I also used to recommend that, but the new version of pastebin.freepbx.org is IMO seriously degraded. Instead of defaulting to “never” expiration, it now defaults to “Burn on reading”, with the remaining choices limited to 1 month. Many posters choose an even shorter interval.
A posted log is part of the thread. When another user has a similar problem and finds the thread, he should be able to compare his log with the OP’s. Until this is fixed, I recommend pastebin.com, which defaults to no expiration.
Good feedback, thank you @Stewart1. Defaulting pastebin.freepbx.org to one month sounds more reasonable – instead of instant burn It would also fit well with the standard 30-day close period on the topic, which should be enough time for OPs & more-seasoned forum stewards such as yourself to copy-pasta the tasty relevant parts back to community.freepbx.orgfor posterity
