Remote phones on VPN

We have a distributed office with 3 ClearlyIP phones in different locations connected to a hosted FreePBX 17 VM. We have SysAdmin pro and VPN configured. The phones autoprovision, register with the PBX, and show connected to the VPN. The availability of the extension goes up and down in the logs, and they can’t dial each other. The trunk isn’t setup yet for calls outside the PBX.
The VPN network is in the NAT settings and adaptive firewall.
looking for a direction to go in or something to check at this point.
