As I have about 40 analog extensions, with existing infrastructure (analog phones and existing cable network) I am searching for appropriate solutions like FXS gateways or analog card. If possible I would like to buy used ones as my budget is limited. Furthermore It would be nice if it has RJ21 (telco 50 pin connector) connectors.
I looked around and found a Cisco VG248 but further research resulted that it only supports sccp and on the forum I have read more mixed feedback than good ones about that.
Can you recommend any gateways or suggest any companies?
Late to the party, but those grandstreams are amazing and perfect for most situations, REN of 3 up to 2200 metres (actual - better than specs using .60mm2 copper), easy configuring, less than third the cost of sangoma’s vega’s, we use them everywhere, hotels motels, retirement, holiday parks, secure aged care facilities, everywhere except a couple mediumish sized mining sites and a large area retirement village (on an island over 5km’s end to end) where we use dinstar 312 port units (4 of them versus 26 by 48p) and they are reliable, cheap and offer per line MLT, but they are Chinese and we know how paranoid America is there…
