I have the phone installed and working using the Sip-T33G template, since there is no template for the t34w, but its working fine.
Problem is if I answer an external call on the first ring, the caller can hear me but I cant hear them. If I answer on the 2nd ring, everything works as normal.
Is there a setting in the GUI that can delay the ring to this one phone? Ive seen discussions that mention adding a wait, something like “exten=>s,1,Wait(2); 2 seconds” but I have no idea which config file to add that to.
Thank for any help…
I have never used the T54W however I have deployed a lot of other Yealink phones and have sold and installed a lot of the T54W phones along with other models. You did not specify how the phone is connected (Wired Ethernet or WiFi)? If you are connecting via WiFi, I would look at the wireless infrastructure or settings. If you are hardwired try to factory default the phone. Then manually create an extension number. All you really need is the extension number and password. Then login into the phone and enter that information. First add account1 and fill out all the information, make the label, display name, register name and username all be the extension number. For password use the password that was givenn when you created the extension. For SIP server enter the IP or FQDN of the PBX. Next go under Line Key and just set line 1. All you need to fill in is the label with either the extension number or whatever you want.
Now test and see if everything is working. If you still have the same issue then you probably have issues with the trunk and not the phone.
The phone is a brand new T34w and wired and using pjsip. Freepbx 17 and Debian 12 are newly installed to replace Freepbx 16, and the Callcentric trunk is pjsip as well. Been using Debian and Ubuntu for many years, so that’s all good.
All phones use tftp to provision, and resetting the phone to defaults doesn’t help.
I have other, older Yealink phones, (t46g and w52p wireless) as well as a Grandstream 1625 and an old Snom 300, and they all work fine. I switched the system to Asterisk 20 to see if the chan_sip driver would help, but no difference.
I had some similar issues with the SIP-T33G. Disabling the G722 Codec on the phone and only enabled both G711 codecs fixed the issues.
Thanks, I’ll try that. Seems like a bug in the t34w, wonder how to file a report with them.
Removing or adding codecs does not help. This phone has a bug.
Just to test, I would manually configure the extension and phone by hand and see if you still have the issue, or it is something with the t34 template. If that does not work then goto: https://ticket.yealink.com/index
register first, go to ticket on the upper left and then you will be able to click report a bug.
