Networking/IP issue - phones failing to register

I am using Grandstream phones and Axis intercoms.. I can not get anything to register. when at look at the host machine that host freePBX it gives me error that Genetec is pinging the wrong IP.. Anyone know how to fix that/

Try Asterisk SIP Settings > “Detect Network Settings” – LMK

Also - Welcome to the FreePBX community!

When I click on detect network setting I am getting a 198.214 IP .

is that what you would expect to see there?

yes i believe that one is correct.. but I can ping my freepbx server from one of my Grandstream phones but I just cant not get anything to register

I have worked with models from both of those brands and they are generally pretty straightforward when it comes to getting them to work with FreePBX. Some actual logs would be helpful here. It sounds like you may have a few different things going on. Have you tried to register the phones with your pbx firewall temporarily disabled?

I’d try sngrep first. Do the REGISTER packets arrive?

If not, I’d be looking at networking or possibly Genetec sending traffic to the wrong place.

If they do arrive, check /var/log/asterisk/full and see what Asterisk is actually doing with them. Could be an endpoint/auth mismatch, firewall, fail2ban, etc. You might even want to temporarily disable fail2ban/firewall for testing.
