Misc Destination , works but no sound [SOLVED]

Use Misc Destination on some FreePBX smoothly

But now I have a FreePBX that is a strange thing:

In practice Misc Destination functioning properly but it does not hear the sound it in fattening of outlet …

It is strange that the PBX might be doing it because other calls have no problems

Obviously I tried to deflect Misc Destination on different numbers and the result does not change

Some notes: FreePBX updated and Asterisk is 13.13.1

The machine runs on a PC and is connected to the Internet with draytek router with dedicated DMZ IP

It’s not opening the Audio Channels - under Chan-SIP Settings, at the bottom, add progressinband=yes, save and reload and it should work.

Misc Destination does not answer the channel. Enabling fax on incoming routes answers the channel.

I can confirm that this has worked for me also (July 2021). When I enable fax detection on the inbound route the audio works when the call is passed over to a misc destination.

Fax detection or otherwise forcing the channel to answer will immediately start billing (for you and/or the caller, depending on your respective services) and will also show the call as ‘answered’ in your CDR and the caller’s, even if the call is abandoned before anyone picks up.

A better solution is (in your router/firewall) to forward the RTP port range (default is UDP 10000-20000) to the PBX LAN address. If this doesn’t help, paste a log of a failing call, including SIP trace, at pastebin.freepbx.org and post the link here. Depending on trunk type, at the Asterisk command prompt, type
pjsip set logger on
or
sip set debug on
before making the test call.

Just to be pedantic, Fax detection forces the channel to answer and immediately starts billing too, which is why it works.

The firewall redirection really is the “right” way to go.
