Is there a recent guide to using a SPA3102 with FreePBX?

I have an old SPA3102 that I’d like to bring into use with FreePBX 17. I’ve found loads of posts on here and elsewhere; but they:

  • Often conflict with each other
  • Often assume you edit some of the files directly
  • Tend to use SIP rather than PJSIP
  • Are aimed at a previous version of FreePBX where some SIP settings were exposed through the web interface.

Does anybody have a guide that is (ideally) UK-based, and is targeted at FreePBX 17?

Try these settings and post details of any problems.

Thanks, @Stewart1 Unfortunately, this is one of the resources I checked, and rejected because it uses out-dated terminology. e.g.

There are no (or I can’t find) options in the pjsip extension setup to:

  • Force CID
  • Authentication
  • Registration

etc.

The 3102 has an FXS and an FXO interface in the same box. The FXO side gives people trouble and I outlined a working setup. But the FXS (extension) side is trivial, similar to an IP phone, softphone, or mobile SIP app. You just need to set the extension number and secret. Registration is always Receive, authentication is always Outbound (from the SPA) and Caller ID is always the extension number, so there are no settings for this on the PBX. Of course, you need to set the username, password and proxy on the SPA.
