We have four Polycom Trio 8800 phones. For approximately three years, the phones worked fine. Last week, three of them started displaying “Invalid provisioning details”. Nothing has changed on the phone system.
We have rebooted the phones. We factory reset one phone and loaded the config file from the working phone and they still will not work. Any other ideas?
check the firmware version on them. see if the 3 may have auto updated or if it is different from the 4th. You may need to downgrade to an older version
The one that works is running 5.7.1.4179. Two of them that aren’t working are running the same version. We did upgrade one to 7.2.8.0090 just to see if that would help, it did not.
They are getting a DHCP address on the correct VLAN they are supposed to be. There was a firmware upgrade on the switches that all of our phones are attached to. We have about 80 Yealink phones that are all working fine.
any potential IP conflicts ? Is everything DHCP or is anything set up as static ?
We had a similar issue 3 times in the past. Two of those we ended up having to restart teh entire network from routers inward. some type of conflicting IP address someplace was being held in place. But we also have several phones that just refuse to connect and provision. I think they are also Polycom. I am certain I am missing something but its possible (conspiracy) they just decided to die - it was past their time….But same thing, full factory reset and nothing gets them to connect.
