I am playing with setting up “fax detect” on my inbound routes. If I send a DID directly to a “fax recipient” the fax is received and emailed as it should. If I set the destination to an IVR, with fax detect on then the destination for fax detect as a “fax recipient” it detects the fax and receives it and emails it to the user. However, if I set the inbound destination to an extension, I get “res_fax.c: FAX CNG detected but no fax extension in context”
Any thoughts as to why fax detect work work OK if the original destination is set to and IVR, but not if it is an extension?
