I simply want to know how I can make a video call with FreePBX. I have a Distro install using Asterisk 12 and FreePBX 12. Right now, my extensions are PJSIP, if that makes a difference.
In Settings -> Asterisk Sip Settings -> PJSIP Settings -> click Video Calls Enable button and then sort your codec order.
I was just playing with this last week but was using Asterisk 12 with SIP not PJSIP so YMMV.
Thanks pezzz, well the good news was I got video to work with “CHAN SIP” (I needed to open port 5061).
The bad news is I don’t know how to get it to work with PJSIP.
There actually doesn’t seem to be any video settings on the PJSIP sidebar nav. I don’t know if that means it doesn’t support it or what…
Actually, even with CHAN SIP, I can only get video from one side of a standard 2-way call… I know it’s not a webcam problem b/c I’ve tried with with multiple webcams
Settings -> Asterisk Sip Settings -> Chan SIP Settings -> Video Support->Enable ->Save->Apply
Then I get the error
Error: Did not receive valid response from server
XHR response code: 0 XHR responseText: undefined jQuery status: timeout
Then I use “amportal chown” and “amportal a r”, the error won’t go away, until
I Disable the video support
Please help.
