Grandstream GSC 3574/3575 New Release

These new Grandstream GSC3574/3575 intercom and facility control stations just released and I grabbed 2 of them. Got it hooked up today and playing around with it. Its REALLY NICE!

Thinner, sleeker profile then the previous GSC3570 with same size screen, HD Voice, Android 13 with Google Play store.

Im setting these 2 I just received today up to monitor HD CCTV cameras at our office/shop, cycle through live camera feeds on the screensaver/stand-by screen when the this indoor station is sitting idle.

I have it setup as a PJSIP extension on our office FreePBX 17 deployment. Audio and Video calls are working just fine. Have two Grandstream GDS3712 video IP intercom’s setup with it at our 2 doors also setup on FPBX 17 as extensions…

I have these making calls to Sangoma Talk extensions and have video and audio working.

About to connect PIR Infrared motion sensors, Siren and strobes to it for security in our office and warehouse to test.

Really like this new facility station from Grandstream and its very inexpensive. I have other flavors here and I like it WAY better than the Fanvil products that are much more difficult to configure and get working and are missing some of my favorite features like screensaver live CCTV video feeds when the screen is sitting idle and not in use.

Ive been playing with this unit about a week now and really like it. I have Account1 setup as a PJSIP extension in FreePBX 17 for making and receiving calls.

I have multiple Alarm zones setup for various things. Motion detection zone setup in my office with a infrared passive motion sensor and a strobe and siren. I also setup another PJSIP extension on Account2 called Office Alarm. I have this Account2 calling out when Zone 1 - Office Alarm is triggered as a notification that this zone has been triggered along with the strobe and siren going off.

I have another zone setup as a water detection alarm with a leak detection sensor as well as another PJSIP extension on Account3 called Basement-Water Leak that also dials out to my Sangoma Talk extension on my mobile. When the alarm is tripped, even if I dont answer, I can see a missed call from Basement Water Leak extension.

Have the screen also cycling through my live CCTV cameras on the screensaver/standby screen when its not in use.

I have been working with Grandstream support the end of last week to get a feature implemented into the software that they agreed should be there You can simply click dismiss on the screen when an alarm is triggered which stops the outgoing SIP call and silences the strobe and sirens…

We should at a minimum have the ability to set a password or pattern on the screen to silence/dismiss an actively triggered alarm, if not on by default… Support agreed 100% and they are working on that…

All in all, this facility station has a ton of features and uses. I may post up some videos of some of the stuff I have setup on it if anyone is interested.

Bought one to test and it sucks. Screen sucks (not IPS and very narrow viewing angles). Processor sucks too… it’s VEEERY slow and laggy… even typing is hard because each character takes 2 seconds and some characters are SKIPPED.

I haven’t experienced 2 second delays or characters being skipped at all and I have used mine extensively. Not sure what the issue is with yours but Id be reaching out to Grandstream support if that was the case with mine.

Also, this isnt a Samsung or Apple tablet. This isnt for you to sit there and play games on or work off of. How much are you sitting at the screen using it day to day once its set up?

Also, configuring it via the web admin gui is much easier and has way more features you cant access from the screen itself…

Once I got mine all setup, Im not typing… So there is that to think about. Its an extremely affordable facility control station with a ton of functionality, not an IPAD for productivity. Have to keep that in mind.

The problem with the screen is that the colors are inverted when viewed from below. Also, I had to change the camera codec from H264 to MJPEG because otherwise 720P stream would freeze for a few seconds every 2 seconds.

720P from say a Grandstream GDS3712 door station? I have no lagging video I just pressed my call button right now no issues with H264
