Getting "couldn't complete this call as dialed" on newly setup FreePBX vm

Hello all

I am quite new to free pbx.

Im running:

-Free pbx on a hyper V vm

-Windows server 2016

-Complete LAN (no Internet connection)

-Unlocked Motorola VT1005V ATA

I have successfully registered this ATA with free pbx after a day of tinkering. It has 2 lines, and i made 1 extention per line. When i go to call between the 2 lines (on either end its the same), a voice saying the call “couldn’t be completed as dialed” plays in the handset. Even if i type the 2 first numbers of the extension (10; extension 101 and extension 102), it still does it (so it happens before i even type out the full number.

I am unsure where to go from here, so any help would be appreciated.

In the VT, look for a setting called “dial plan”, “digit map” or similar. Set it for the dial patterns that your system will use.

Alternatively, use non conflicting extension numbers e.g., 12, 13, … 19.
