Hi, as per the title I would like that when a sip call arrives, routed to a ring group, a recorded intercom message is activated that indicates that we have an incoming call to the switchboard, instead of the usual bell.
So based on the message I can know if it is a phone call or a person ringing the intercom.
I can’t figure out how I can do it
I hope someone can point me in the right direction
Thanks to the whole community for the work you do

I wouldn’t touch that! You will drive people absolutely bonkers when they hear the same recorded intercom voice for the millionth time.
My suggestion is you go out and buy 2 horn ringers that are different sounds, (analog telephone ringers) which there’s tons of on Amazon and various facilities places, and have 2 ring groups one for a person intercoming and one for a phone call.
Then buy a 2 port analog to SIP conversion box, setup your 2 extensions going to that box and then add them into your different ring groups.
This ok, it is the solution that we already use.
I want to understand if it is possible to create a configuration that does what I indicated above.
I believe there are analog horn/annunciators on the market that you can record an audio stream so instead of a loud ring you get a loud voice
Many VoIP phones on the market have the ability to have a custom ringtone uploaded to the phone. So you could get a cheap VoIP phone, upload a custom ringtone that wasn’t a ring but instead was you speaking “incoming call to the switchboard” then take apart the phone and solder an audio jack to the speaker and run that into an amplifier and loudspeaker.
But like I said, people are gonna hate it.
