I’m looking for some guidance on troubleshooting Userman with Active Directory…specifically where are auth attempts logged? Do I have to enable logging or increase the logging level to troubleshoot?
I had this working in FreePBX 15, but following a hardware failure I am now running FreePBX 17. The restore process brought over the AD Directory entry but authentication was not working. I removed the old AD entry and created a new one; the status shows connected and the directory imported OK. Any login attempt with an AD user results in ‘Invalid Password’. Permissions to access both UCP and the admin GUI are set on my AD user. I can log in to UCP and admin gui with the built-in local directory user. I’ve tried using samAccountName, username@UPN, Display Name, all with the same Invalid Password result.
I can’t find any log that reports LDAP queries happening or any error messages. All the guidance on setting up AD is focused on getting sync working, nothing I could find discusses troubleshooting authentication after the sync happens.
