New FPBX 17 install on Debian12 on a local server. The WAN facing interface freezes by itself 3 times so already disrupting calls for everyone. Running systemctl restart networking fixes the problem right away. What can be causing this? This is second networking interface problem I am encountering since the Debian12 FPBX17 deployment…
Do you know if CDR reports was being used during the outage? Sending a request that’s too large can freeze the GUI until it times out.
SSH into the server and use HTOP. Are your resources okay? Do you have enough CPU/RAM.
If you were to restart apache2 from the CLI while the issue occurs, does the problem persist or go away? Or is your networking completely down?
No. Nobody has access to the PBX besides me. I was not even logged in the GUI. After it freezes I logged into the console and I verified I cannot ping anything on the internet. I can ping the local interface from the local network just fine. As soon as I reset the network service everything goes back to normal.
Have you tested this with iptables/fail2ban turned off to be sure you’re not facing a firewalling issue?
Next time if it happens I will check the IPban list..I have whitelisted most of our public and remote office IPs.
