Freepbx 14 restore backup taken in freepbx 13

#1

Hi,

Is it possible to restore a backup which was taken in FreePBX 13 version to a system running FreePBX 14 ?

I ve tried and my system crashed immediately.

Not possible as you’ve learned the hard way. You can use this tool to migrate between non-matching major versions:

It appears those instructions have one build an older FreePbx distro, then one would use FreePbx upgrade modules to get current?
Or does one install the latest distro and use the conversion tool on it.

Wiki is out of date, SNG7 will work as well, as seen here:

I’m running an older version 13 - (Freepbx) under PBXiaf distro.
any chance this convert.freepbx.org option will work?

nevermind - curses of PBXiaf - it’s incapable of this process…

It should work on any FreePBX based system regardless of distro.
