I am getting eMails sent by WEBMin loaded on my FreePBX server. At the same time I am not getting any of the eMails sent from FreePBX. This includes nothing from Firewall, User Configuration, or Voice Mail.
Not sure where to start looking for the hangup. Is it possible to make FreePBX/Asterisk to use a remote SMTP server? There is only one server that will get eMails from our phone system.
Yes, you can configure remote mail server with the Sysadmin Pro module or by configuring postfix (/etc/postfix) by hand. There are plenty of guides on the Internet about how to configure postfix or ask your favorite AI bot.
After a lot more head banging I have found Vultr.com blocks outgoing port 25. Understandable, but that means I have to use TLS. I added the Letsencrypt SSL cert to the PBX, but I can not find the cert/keys so I can add them to postfix. Can someone point me in the right direction.
I am my own relay. Most of my stuff in hosted internally, just my PBX is offsite. So close and so far away. Almost for eMail coming in for us. At the end of the day only need the PBX to deliver eMail to one SMTP server, mine.
