We have many 15 and 16 systems setup. Many of them have 0 more zend resets, whats the best path forward to move to 17 from 15 or 16? From the looks of it, I will need to open a ticket for the ones have 0 more resets left? Because we use Vultr so chances are I might need to spin up all new VPS instances. Thanks!
That’s correct.
Unfortunately the only path forward is:
- Backup old system.
- Spin up a new instance and install 17.
- Restore the backup to the new system.
- Contact Sangoma support for a hardware reset so you can activate the restored installation.
That is what I thought, but just wanted to confirm. Thank you!
For anyone else that uses Vultr, I have found you can change your OS and from there you can keep your IP address at least
I think you can also assign it as a floating IP for a small charge, if you want to keep it.
Dealing with this right now. Upgraded our office production system to 17 by spinning up a new Debian 12 VM then ran the script to install FreePBX 17 then restored my 16 backup. Worked just fine and were back up and running in 15min.
Ran into some weird issues like background image dissapeared on P370 along with favorites and contacts not working. Looking into that but everything is working fine.
We were out of hardware resets on our 16 system and opened a ticket this morning to move licensing to the new 17 deployment. No response or action all day so i dont know how quick youe moves will be that are out of hardware resets… we have phones but all sangoma talk is down until licensing is moved… frustrating
