Double Ring on Outbound Calls via Gamma SIP Trunk

Hi,

We’re experiencing an issue with outgoing calls providing two ringing tones on outbound calls with one particular SIP Provider (Gamma Telecom). The connection is otherwise fine and once the destination phone is picked up, both rings silence. We have tried removing the “r” from dialplan options as explained in another post on here with similar symptoms, but this has no effect. Connections via sip to a Cisco ISDN gateway function fine on the same box for incoming/outgoing.

If anyone can offer any assistance with this, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

This is now resolved.

For anyone experiencing this issue, we have found the solution to be adding “progressinband=no” to the PEER Details of the Trunk.

type=peer
qualify=yes
host=X.X.X.X - Gamma IP
dtmfmode=auto
disallow=all
allow=alaw&ulaw
sendrpid=yes
progressinband=no
