Following recent successful maintenance , and now that we are on some new hardware with the latest Discourse software , it seems to be a good time to ask some poll questions about available UI features:

This was added about a week ago , and it looks to be a combo feature.
Should we add the new welcome + search box feature at the top of the page ?

The top left FreePBX logo (home button) has disappeared on mobile devices making it much harder to navigate the forum.

Have you recently changed phones or browsers ?
Not using it much on mobile myself; however, rotating from portrait to landscape mode gets the logo back for me, might be worth a try.
Related, the top menu is too big IMO – could be that a move to icons and/or fewer options is a better approach. The theme overall is a little dated.

Hi Chris, yes it works when in landscape and I do indeed have a relatively new phone. That’s ok then, apologies for not checking that myself first! K.
This isn’t something new. It’s always been this way on my phone.
This works because it changes the width of the screen allowing for more to appear on it.
This happens on both this and the Asterisk forums. The logo is being hidden due to the width of a phone in portrait mode.
Agreed. Probably it is based on numerical range – but, could be discrete landscape vs. portrait. (Relevant CSS documentation from Mozilla. )
Either way, there’s new templates out there that we are looking in to.

Maybe some of the top links could be removed so that the logo has room to appear.
