I recently received a Digium D80 to test. I removed the Digium Phones module and enabled DPMA in Endpoint Manager.
FreePBX 15.0.16.75
Created the Extension Mapping in Endpoint Manager then powered on the phone. Phone connects and I can send and receive calls, call other extensions, etc.
But I have a Yellow Triangle in the upper right corner which when I click on says “No Status Options to choose from” and I cannot see any of my “Status” options obviously.
What is causing this and how do I resolve/see my status options? When I initially setup this phone the first time using the Digium Phone Module I had no issues with the phone conencting and seeing Status options. Why when using the Endpoint Manager with DPMA it doesnt show status??

I switched back to using Digium Phone module, disabled DPMA in Extension Manager, reset D80, then reconnected the D80 and it provisioned perfectly and status now works great.
Only issue now is, can you configure favorites, line keys, etc on the D80 in freepbx? I cannot find any way to do that using Digium Phone Module which is why I was trying to use Endpoint Manager in the first place…
You have to switch off the easy-mode in the Digium phone module and configure your D80 using xml-config files. It is described here

Yea I have Easy Mode switched off. Phone is working good and Status app is working. Hearing I have to use XML to configure favorites is disappointing. I thought I was overlooking a setting or something.
I dont know if you have to…
Just checked the current EPM version…
Isnt that what you need? Here you can customize your line keys. If you want to populate your line keys with your favorites automatically you switch to easy-mode. If you want to customize the line keys, you have to do it one by one…I guess

Correct…but when I use EPM to provision Digium D80 I get the yellow triangle top left corner and “STATUS” is gone, doesnt work??

I finally found that, havent tried it yet. Got the Sangoma S705 yesterday to test and zero touch provisioning, configuration, line keys, all easy as can be using EPM. I guess Digium phones just arent there yet…
I was testing the D80 because a few clients want the more modern looking, touchscreen/tablet look phones. I thought going with Digium/Sangoma would be the way to go for ease of provisioning and configuration vs the UBNT touch screen android phones Ive been using with freePBX. Unfortunately not being able to easily configure the line keys is a problem with the D80…I was hoping I was just missing something

Did some more D80 / EPM testing this morning.
I disabled Digium Phone module again. Factory Reset the D80, in EPM>Extension Mapping I added an extension and selected the Digium D80 template and entered the MAC of the D80…At this point I DID NOT enable DPMA in EPM>Global Settings.
Powered up the phone and obviously it did not automatically provision because DPMA was not enabled. It was seeing an incorrect Provisioning server IP and Port. I selected to Manually configure Provisioning server and entered the correct server address and port. It then worked perfectly, provisioned and “STATUS” was working properly just like it did when using the Digium Phones module…
New problem when provisioning the D80 as stated above…When you go to Digium template to configure line keys…The list of Digium phones stops at D70??? WTF! The ONLY way to get D80 to pop up in the Digium template configuration, you HAVE to enable DPMA in EPM>Global Settings. Once you do that, the D80 model pops up in the Digium template configurator…BUT, once you do that, you then get the yellow triangle in the top right corner of the D80 and “STATUS” “No Status option to choose from.”
If you ignore the “STATUS” issue, and configure line keys…none of the Apps work, and BLF doesnt work. Only line key setting that works is “LINE”. Grr this D80 is proving to be useless or no better than any other phone Ive used for simplicity of configuration and Line key programming. S705 is the only one that has worked as advertised so far… Super frustrating when Digium is a Sangoma product.
EPM will never perfectly work with so many phones…it simply cant…a new phone firmware can always break things.
Why Sangoma hasn’t properly implemented the superior Digium D-phone line in EPM yet…is an enigma though…but maybe they want to give superior phones only to paying customers (Switchvox)
Where are you located? Do you want to sell your D80? I always wanted to have one

It’s in progress now. The issue is DPMA, which is a significant departure from the way that EPM has been designed.

Is there a timeline when full Digium D80 support will be available in EPM? Really just Status issue fixed and line key programming is all Im looking for…

Nah, not giving up on it yet. Especially if Sangoma is working on fixing this Digium/EPM issue. Id really like to use the D line of phones, especially the D80 if I can get all the features working in freePBX/PBXact…

So can you explain to me further how you are programming Digium phones line keys NOT using EPM?? Im not up on XML, but some direction, instructions would be great on how to get at a very minimum line keys like extensions, and their status on the D80, contacts, etc. just like the D80 is advertised to show.

In the Endpointmanager settings switch off “use DPMA”. Activate the Digium phones config module. Switch off the “easy mode” in the Digium phones module settings.
