Device registration

So I have an older version of free PBX 13.0.194. It is outdated I know but we are looking at other options at this time.

My real issue is I cant seem to register devices to extensions

Both devices were registered to an extension and worked, I have since deleted each of the extensions.

I then create a new extension with new VM and assign the devices mac to the extension and assign the correct device.

The network attached to the phone works fine, if I take another phone that is registered it works as expected. The 2 other devices never seem to register and sit with a No Service.

I have verified the device does get an IP address and that IP address range does have access to the freepbx server.

Verified that the MAC address is not assigned to another extension.

Performed a factory reset and I can access the web interface of the phone.

Other devices on system are working perfectly fine, it is just these 2 phones.

Yealink T42G and Yealink T42S.

I have a t48G that I just assigned to a extension and all seemed to work fine with that device.

Not sure how to fix this.

Just an update I have verified the the DHCP option 066 id pointed to my freebx server via IP address.

It appears maybe the tftp server is not running but not sure how to verify that other than a tftp client connection seems to never connect

You can uses netstat to see if anything is listening on the tftp port. Note that tftp uses a connectionless transport.

So Just for giggles I restarted the TFTP server from the console.

It did show the shut down and startup as OK.

Shortly after the 1 phone having issues with seemed to register and get the correct extension as expected.

I would like to look at the files that are available to the tftp server but not sure where to find those files / location

Any ideas on that ?

In the folder /tftpboot its usually in root directory. From there you should see config files based off of the MAC address of all respective endpoints.

OK let me look I swear I did not see that folder but I may have missed it.

Ill update you when I see.
