CSR and common name

Looking for clarification on common name field in the CSR

lets assume FQDN is pbx.domain.com

Under Certificate Signing Request, in the common name field, I should put pbx.domain.com not just pbx, correct?

Common sense tells me to follow the hostname which is pbx.domain.com, since CN is Hostname, but just want to make sure
