Cisco ATA192 Setup

Hi, I’m very new to FreePBX and have been following various Guides and Videos for setting up FreePBX to work with ATAs. However, I have yet to have any success.

My end goal is to allow internal ATAs to call each other. I currently have a Cisco ATA192 MP, but have ordered a Grandstream HT818. I want to be to call analogue ports on the ATAs from the same ATA or another.

I’ve tried hosting my FreePBX 17 on a Raspberry Pi 4 and also a VM with Debian. But I’m not sure if this is related to the issue. I’m not sure on the setup steps I need to follow to set up FreePBX for my intended outcome. Currently, I am creating extensions for each port on my Cisco ATA and the configuring the ATA with the FreePBX IP, Extension and secret. After doing this I’m not sure if there are any more steps I need to follow but my setup is not working.

They are both on the same LAN and I can ping the ATA from the VM.

Am I missing any setup stages or are there any logs I should look out for?

Does the ATA register? If not, what if anything, appears in the Asterisk logfile when it attempts to register? If yes, what appears in the Asterisk logfile when you attempt a call?

My ATA has 2 lines, I’ve created extensions for both 101 and 102 respectively. My ATA is showing that Line 2 as resisted and Line 1 as failed to register.

On asterisk, I can see line 1 as a contact and available. Both endpoint are also showing but only line 2 as available.
I deleted my 101 extension and remade it to see if that helped. And now neither line works.
Asterisk is only showing line 2 as a contact but Unavail. Both endpoints are showing on asterisk, they are reporting as unavailable,
I’m using asterisk -rvvv to see some logs. Not sure if this is the best method.

Using ‘pjsip set logger on’ I can see that extension 102 is transmitting SIP requests.
