Cannot Connect to Online Repository (mirror1.freepbx.org, mirror2.freepbx.org)

Attempted to update modules via module admin in GUI and received the following error:

Warning: Cannot connect to online repository(s) (http://mirror1.freepbx.org,http://mirror2.freepbx.org). Online modules are not available.

Attempted to ping both of the servers from both my computer and the machine freepbx is installed on and this was the result for both mirror1.freepbx.org and mirror2.freepbx.org on both machines:

LumBook:~ sean$ ping mirror1.freepbx.org

Already tried Andrew Nagy’s proposed fix from another thread:

/var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 1 && amportal a ma upgrade framework && /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx_setting MODULEADMIN_SKIP_CACHE 0

But the issue still remains after running that command.

Are the repository servers down for some reason? Checked the Network Outages/System Status Blog and nothing was posted there.

fwconsole ma upgradeall results in the following error as well:

[root@pbx ~]# fwconsole ma upgradeall

Yes our servers are having issues at the moment.

I can’t update FreePBX then I go to “Module Admin” and click “Check Online” I received the following:
Warning: Cannot connect to online repository(s) (http://mirror1.freepbx.org,http://mirror2.freepbx.org). Online modules are not available.
I tried to browse “http://mirror1.freepbx.org”, but no result, only white page with status 200.
Same issue in FreePBX 12 and FreePBX13.

These issues are now resolved.

I’m having the problem detailed in this topic, running FreePBX 13, latest version, Asterisk 14, Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS (close enough to 14.04 that I figured it would work), Apache 2.4.18, PHP 7.0 with all required modules installed and activated.

Php 7 is not supported by our mirror servers.

I am getting the exact same error:

Warning: Cannot connect to online repository(s) (http://mirror1.freepbx.org,http://mirror2.freepbx.org). Online modules are not available.

The strange thing is that yesterday everything was working fine.

One thing I noticed is that every time I open FreePBX web GUI (“Welcome to FreePBX” screen), usually the loading bar locks a few seconds on 80% and then loads the Dashboard. Today, it started taking too long to load, and also started to “lock” on 60% instead of 80%, and stays there much more time before actually loading the Dashboard.

Another thing I noticed is that the Summary on System Overview was not updating. Asterisk status was freeze. That problem I could fix using a solution I found on another post around here:

fwconsole chown

But I am still getting the same error message when I click on “Check Online” on “Module Admin”.

Any Ideas? Thanks a lot.

Edit: A few minutes ago everything got back to normal. Guess it was something on the mirror side. Should I delete this reply?

[root@botswana johann]# amportal a ma upgrade framework

is there something wrong with mirror 1 ?

Nope the mirrors are fine.

Also you.cant ping an address with http

Any Advice please of what is the reason it doesn’t work and I did ping without HTTP see above

You pinged an entire path. You can only ping a server.

Thanks but what could be causing the no connection as i can ping other websites ex?: google

I also can now ping mirror 1

ping mirror1.freepbx.org
