I have 2 separate buildings without hardwired connection, One will house the main freepbx system
building 2 in the photo is all networked, building 1 has yet to be. I want to use the ethernet port on the back of the free pbx system to connect it to a phone. Any Help Is Appreciated! Thanks - James
Hi @jamm3000
Where is or which building you have DHCP server and Router for Internet ? If at Building-2 has it My suggestion is to add Building 1 one more AP and switch connected FreePBX and Phone to that Switch.
Forgot to ask you: Is both building going to use same VLAN and Subnet ? or they are different ?
Hey, there is no ethernet connection between the two buildings.
This is much more a Linux/router question than a FreePBX one. The only FreePBX part is likely to be disabling direct media, if you choose the simplest configuration, where there is no route between the two sub-networks.
I don’t think you did understand my question clearly. I tried to ask you more about your Network configuration side.
Also i agreed with @david55.

Never mind I am going to use a Hybrid IPECS system as it makes more sense for my application as I want this to be a setup and leave system.
