We are looking to build a Queue, but would like it to have/be a DID, not a generic extension.
Do you mean an external number?
We were hoping we could advertise a internal DID that would go directly to the Queue. When building the Queue it asks for the extension; we put in a DID, but it wouldn’t take it. I’m sure I’m making this more complicated that it needs to be:) Appreciate any ideas/suggestions.
For this, just set the destination for the inbound route to go directly to the queue. Then you can set the extensions, ring strategy, and additional queue behaviors in the queue directly.
