Call ID question

We are a multi-PBX system, Primarily Avaya. Avaya uses a UCID to keep track of a “call” as it moves between systems. Some of our systems happen to be FreePBX. When the call moves to FreePBX, there is a thought we could replace the Call ID with the Avaya UCID. The UCID comes in the SIP header. It would be ideal in that would let us report the complete blended experience (across Avaya, FreePBX, etc.) easier.

Is it as simple as just setting the variable (UNIQUEID) at the inbound route?

IS UNIQUEID the right variable?

Any feedback?
