Auto reply with SMS on missed call

Is this something built in that I’m missing? I found a thread from 7 years ago before the VI merger. Would like to do exactly what this guy is describing, though the SMS for an answered call is less important.

Hi, we need to auto trigger send SMS to callers in 2 instances :

1. When someone receives their call, then when they hang up, he should get one SMS-A-template.
2. When someone calls and no one receives, then the caller should SMS-b-template.

Can we auto trigger SMS this way to be sent automatically to callers ?

I’ve shared dialplan before for automating outbound SMS, and example of which you can find on this page:

It’s not specifically for sending to missed calls, but with effort you could hack into the Missed Call module to run custom dialplan after the AGI call in the hangup handler.

Thanks will read through that. What about sending voicemail notifications via SMS? Something short and sweet like "you’ve got a voicemail from (CID) at (time). Log into to UCP to hear it at (link to UCP)
