Sometimes, after I’ve made a series of changes on multiple GUI pages, I’d like to see some kind of list of differences between where I started (and I always take a backup) and where I am now.
Is there any reasonably easy way to do that?
Not that I’ve seen. This is why I take screenshots before and after changes.
There is a way, I wouldn’t say it is easy. Each backup will have a mysqldump. You can try a diff but I wouldn’t hold much hope in that.
In the mysql-utilities package is mysqldiff
(IHWFO)
mysqldiff appears to compare schemas, not data.
