Algo what password needed

I am trying to setup an Algo 8180 and it is asking for a user name/password. Not sure what password or where it’s located in freepbx. It is failing to connect to freepbx and I looked at the log files and it shows invalid password. So if someone can point me in the right direction…

Thanks,
Phil

Usually you would configure it to connect at an Extension and therefore use the SIP credentials for that extension.

i do have the extension setup in endpoint manager, but don’t see anyplace to retrieve the password so I can input it into the algo setup.

If you are using Endpoint Manager to provision the Algo you just need to point the Provision server in the Algo GUI to the PBX and it should pick up all the credentials it needs from that.

If you are setting up manually through the Algo GUI you find the SIP Credentials under the Extensions.

still lost… I looked under extensions (x113) and the box for secret and password for new user are “smudged” out. This is what my logfile shows:

412180 [2022-04-06 15:43:07] NOTICE[2364] chan_sip.c: Registration from ‘sip:[email protected]:5060’ failed for ‘192.168.100.173:5060’ - Wrong password
412181 [2022-04-06 15:44:01] NOTICE[2364] chan_sip.c: Registration from ‘sip:[email protected]:5060’ failed for ‘192.168.100.173:5060’ - Wrong password

I figured out if I highlighted the smugged area I could see the password. Copied and the algo seemed to like it. Thanks Richard.
