Hello Community,
After 20 years with Freepbx/Asterisk, I was frustrated by the expensive and inflexible AI voice agent options. I spent the last 1.5 months building the open-source alternative I wanted to see: a platform for true experimentation.
My project is a Docker-based AI Voice Agent that allows you to:
Easily deploy a two-way, conversational AI on any Asterisk system.
Mix and match STT, LLM, and TTS providers (like OpenAI, Deepgram, or local models) through a simple YAML config file.
Fine-tune performance with exposed settings for your specific needs.
I’m looking for fellow Asterisk professionals and tinkerers to test it out and provide feedback.

I will DEFINITLY try this out on FreePBX 17 and keep you informed of my results using the local LLM. Thanks so much for your hard work. This is a giant leap forward in my development. (Assuming it works

Hi great, I am a voip professional and I’m looking in to it. I already try solution like Avr , work great have difficulty to transfert call back from ai . I will try you’re tool, can we tranfert back into an intern extension after ai with you’re system ?
