544 Mail Queue (and going up) - Calendar / Cron bug?

Last night I updated my system with the latest updates for modules and system.

I have noticed this morning that an error is showing on the dashboard (see attached image).

I know the server is sending emails because I received one this morning saying a new update (grrr!) is available for the sysadmin module.

All of the messages in the mail queue are related to calendar/cron. Below is the contents of one of the messages:
