Would a 15 to 17 transition on same machine need a deployment reset?

As per title , if I install V17 on the same previously activated V15 hardware, would it preserve deployment ID so no zend reset/reactivation ?

Or, does V17 become a new machine with a new deployment ?

Deployment IDs are tried to the primary Ethernet MAC address. As long as that doesn’t change it should be fine.

Thanks, I just tried with my home pbx; after freepbx17 installation I ran "fwconsole sysadmin activate mycurrentdeploymentID " and all is ok !

No ID reset deactivation/activation needed.
