As of this summer Hilton has changed its policies on what can go on their networks and connect to their new PMS network. In order to connect to their network and PMS the phone system must come from a certified vendor. Hilton has over two dozen brands so that is a lot of hotels FreePBX/PBXact won’t be able to get approved to be used in without this certification.
So what is Sangoma’s position on this?
Hi Tom! My company, GrayMatter Networks, is in the process of getting certified by Hilton on PEP (their new PMS) - this is pending and not completed yet. We are already certified on their legacy OnQ PMS system and have many installs already.
We use FreePBX as a base and our BrainBox module (available on the portal) is what we developed. Works on PBXact as well.
Sangoma is working hand-in-hand with us to make sure the module works, is certified by Sangoma and receives full support.
