Who Do You Trust for Custom Asterisk Development?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working with Asterisk for quite a while now, mostly for smaller setups. But recently I’ve started looking into more complex customizations—like integrating Asterisk with CRM, building multi-tenant call center features, and scaling SIP trunking for larger deployments.

While the Asterisk community and docs are super helpful, some of these projects feel like they’d benefit from working with a team that has deeper experience in large-scale Asterisk development.

Out of curiosity, has anyone here collaborated with professional development companies for custom Asterisk solutions? If so:

  • What was your experience like?
  • Did it help speed up deployment or reduce trial-and-error?
  • Any recommendations for reliable teams who really understand telecom-grade Asterisk solutions?

I’ve heard of a few companies (like Ecosmob and others) that specialize in Asterisk-based telecom software, but I’d love to get insights from people who’ve actually gone down this path.

This is a common marketing and sales strategy. You join a community and pretend to ask about a subject but only highlight your company to “start a conversation”.

The smarter ones don’t use an account tied to the company they are shilling for.
