When to reboot/restart asterisk

Hi,

Quick question.
Which system updates need a reboot of PBX and which need just a fwconsole restart?

2 package examples:

  1. sangoma-pbx16
  2. Anything that is asterisk18-*

Not sure about the sangoma-pbx16 packages but asterisk updates for sure need a restart of asterisk for the new version to load.

I suspect the sangoma-pbx16 is an OS package and depending on what’s updated (ie. the kernel) you may need to restart the PBX completely not just asterisk.
