When outgoing trunk is down, it doesn't always try next one

Now that sunrocket has died and hoardes of people went to Viatalk, it hasn’t been as reliable.

I experience this quite often:
Channel Location State Application(Data)
SIP/viatalk-RW-09b24 (None) Down AppDial((Outgoing Line))
SIP/[MYNUMBER]-b7a06 s@macro-dialout-trun Ring Dial(SIP/viatalk-RW/[NUMBERIAMCALLING]
Unfortunately, when the Viatalk trunk is down, it doesn’t start using my other trunks.

When I alter the Trunk settings so it can’t register, it tries the subsequent trunk without any problems. My voipjet trunk which has a zero balance also gets switched without a hitch.

Does anybody have ideas about Viatalk? Anybody experiencing the same problems?

that would be an issue in the signaling they are sending back to you. You may want to do a sip debug and see what they are sending (or not) and then talk with them. You may also want to try qualify= so that when it goes over that value, asterisk treats it as unavailable. Of course, if they qualify in but since act badly on the attempted calls, then you will still have issues.
