What codecs on grandstream 4104 and line dropping

hi anyone tell me what codecs on grandstream 4104 i need to use and when i make the Call line get drop when i call any number

The codecs that you should expect everyone to support are ulaw and alaw. Strictly speaking, you should use the one that applies to your country, unless you know the other side is mis-configured

There is no useful information to allow an answer to your line dropping question.

µ-law is typically used in North America and Japan, and A-law in Europe, and much of hte rest of the world.

so this doesnt apply see picture below

I would disable G.729, as you really need to buy licences for it for all practical uses with FreePBX. It is also, like GSM, is somewhat obsolete, in that there are better low bit rate codecs, and they are generally free. GSM is 40 to 50 years old.

PCMU is µ-law, which Asterisk calls ulaw. I would start with just that, or PCMA if in Europe, etc., and only add other codecs when you understand their strong and weak points.

i just changed that since i am in canada
