VPN client configuration file corrupted

FreepBX 15 (should be up to date)

I tried to generate new VPN client configuration files. The VPN Server was enabled in FreePBX, created/enabled two clients, associated a user with two client, went to UCP, downloaded the zip files and they were corrupted two of them had Zero bytes. I looked at etc/openvpn/ccd/ and both files had 0 B.

  • Anyone had similar issue? fix?

Hi @moussa854 FreePBX generated configuration is present in “/etc/openvpn/clients” so could you please check there if configuration files are generated in this location or not ? If not then restart the VPN server to give try. thanks.

Thank you @kgupta1, restarting the openvpn server did the trick :slightly_smiling_face:

I did, however, receive two warnings:

  1. OpenSSL: my current version is 1.0.2k-fips and it will be supported until 2019-12-31 https://www.openssl.org/policies/releasestrat.html.
  2. comp-lzo: OpenVPN will ignore the option and provide a warning https://community.openvpn.net/openvpn/wiki/DeprecatedOptions

Is it OK to use these two options?

N.B. I noticed several low to moderate vulnerabilities affecting OpenSSL 1.0.2k
