Voicemails sent to email with ARI are incorrect

Hi there,

When I send voicemails to email using ARI, I get the following:

The email comes in fine.
The text says:
“You have been forwarded x voicemail messages from mailbox xxxx.
Please listen to the attached recordings. Thank you.”

  • If I send 1 voicemail, it comes as un unusable text attachment.
  • If I send 2 voicemails, the first one comes as unusable/text and the second one is correct.
  • If I send 3 voicemails, the first one comes as unusable/text, the other two come as valid voice attachment but when I listen to them they’re both the recording of the 3rd voicemail, even though they have different attachment names (msg0001.wav and msg0000.wav).

If I listen to the voicemails with ARI, it works fine. If I transfer to another extension with ARI, it works fine too. It is the process of attaching the .wav file to the email that seems to be broken.

It does it with FreePBX 2.7.0.6 / asterisk 1.6
It does it with FreePBX 2.8.0.4 / asterisk 1.6 (upgraded from 2.7)
It does it with FreePBX 2.8.0.4 / asterisk 1.8 (upgraded from 1.6)

It does not matter if the requesting workstation is XP or Centos.
It does not matter if the requesting browser is Firefox or IE (on XP)
It does not matter who the email recipient it and what kind of software they are running, Exchange or not. Depending on the email client being used, the first text attachement may show directly as garbage in the body of the email or as a text attachment.

This is a fresh load of the AsteriskNOW 1.7.1 iso, no tinkering.

Where do I start the troubleshooting of this?
Please help!

Thanks
Michel.
