Voicemail Backup

Greetings People,

I have had a request, a user wants to have his voicemails delete once emailed, easy. He also wants them to be backed up in case he deletes them from his email inbox. Any ideas?

I have the module " VOICEMAIL ADMINISTRATION" which has an option “backupdeleted”. Does that actually backup voicemails, if so, where?

I value you can set from 0-9999 that will reorder your deleted voicemails into the extension’s voicemail directory /Deleted folder

I am looking at the var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/202
I do not see a deleted folder, i see old, tmp, urgent, no deleted folder there

It won’t be there until 202 deletes a voicemail, I’m not sure that comedian mail has the logic to handle delete on sending to voicemail. Perhaps a judicious use, (perhaps here an hourly cron job) of something like

cp -la /var/spool/asterisk /var/spool/asterisk.$(date +%Y%m%d%H)
